Oven Baked Beetroot Crisps
A healthy snack for the kids, or lovely garnish for something more substantial, beetroot crisps are low effort and a joy to eat.
Ingredients
- 2 raw beetroot, peeled
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Sea salt
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 150C. 2. Cut the beetroot as thinly as possible using a mandoline. This ensures a consistent thickness and means you can get them thin enough to crisp. 3. Mix with the oil and a tsp of salt, ensuring all slices are covered.4. Lay each slice flat on baking trays and bake in the oven for 40mins to one hour (depending on the thickness and moisture content of the beetroot). 5. Sprinkle with additional salt and leave to cool and crisp.
