Smoked mackerel pate
Smoked Mackerel Pate
This recipe is as easy as opening a few ingredients and putting
them in a food processor. It really shows off the smokey flavour of the mackerel and takes just five minutes to prepare.
Ingredients
- 250g smoked mackerel fillets
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp horesradish sauce
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 3 tbsp creme fraiche
- lemon juice to taste
- Sea salt and freshly ground pepper
Instructions
1. Remove the skin from the fish and cut out any remaining bones. 2. Blitz everything in a food processor until you have a coarse pate.3. Serve with fresh bread, salad and cornichons (pickled
gherkins).
