"Ice Magic"
Bird’s Ice Magic was one of the iconic products of the 1980’s. It was a chocolate sauce that magically set hard within seconds of hitting ice cream to provide a crunchy topping for your favourite frozen dessert. It may no longer be available in UK stores, but making your own takes just minutes!
Ingredients
  • 150g chocolate (70% cocoa solids)
  • 60g coconut oil
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
Instructions
1. Melt the coconut oil and chocolate together in a glass bowl set over simmering water, stirring to combine.2. Stir in the peppermint extract. 3. Serve the sauce in a squeezy bottle alongside your favourite ice cream. 4. If not using immediately, store at room temperature for up to one month. If it solidifies you can easily return to a liquid state by heating in a microwave for 30 seconds.
